The bout was first announced by Stamann's management, Iridium Sports Agency, on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Stamann (21-6), will enter the Octagon on the heels of a unanimous decision loss to Douglas Silva de Andrade in May last year. The loss snapped the American's two-fight winning streak that saw him bounce back from consecutive losses to Said Nurmagomedov, Merab Dvalishvili and Jimmie Rivera.
Meanwhile, Lapilus (19-4) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Farid Basharat at UFC Fight Night 234 after making a successful return to the promotion with a unanimous decision win over Caolan Loughran in September 2023. Prior to re-joining the Las Vegas-based promotion, the Frenchman racked up a five-fight winning streak while competing for Ares Fighting Championship and TKO Major League MMA.
The fight night event will also feature a middleweight clash between Julian Marquez and Zachary Reese and a strawweight meeting pitting Eduarda Moura against Denise Gomes.
